Summary
Photographs taken by an unidentified photographer of the construction of the Southern Pacific Railroad route from Oxnard to Somis, California, circa 1900. Depicted are the surveying team, “headquarters” at Oxnard, and Mono men plowing the land. There are also photographs of a home and 2 of its residents encountered during survey work, as well as a sugar beet factory in Oxnard, well supplying water to the factory, and sugar beet field.
