Summary
Born Again Muslims makes clear that the Muslim world is not monolithic in its views. We meet the liberal Islamists in Turkey who want to co-exist with the West and Western ways. For them the veil is a matter of individual choice. In the Sudan, only Muslim-born women must wear the veil by law. Hardliners of Iran require all women to be completely covered, a custom promoted by the mullahs and vigorously enforced by the police.
