Connor of architectural drawings of proposed buildings chiefly in San Francisco, but also in Bakersfield, Eureka, Fresno, Palo Alto, Richmond, Sacramento, San Diego, and Watsonville, California, circa 1898-1930.
Renderings bearing Connor’s signature include the Telephone Building; the Park Presidio Branch (attributed to O’Brien Bros. & Peugh); the Knights of Columbus Building (Smith O’Brien); a hotel building; a tentative design for a bank building; a plant for the Marchetti Motor Co.; the New Fillmore Food Palace; the Tennis Club of San Francisco; the Franklin Office of the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co. (Bliss & Faville); a proposed dry ice plant (O’Brien & Peugh); Praegers (Sylvain Schnaittacher); Hamilton’s; the new home for Dunham Carrigan & Hayden Co.; an arcade or office building lobby (Morris M. Bruce); apartments; the Thompson and Ortmann Building; the Pajaro Valley National Bank (H. H. Winner); hotel apartments (H. L. Stevens & Co.); Richmond; the Hotel El Tejon (H. L. Stevens & Co.); the Pickwick Terminal Hotel attributed to (O’Brien Bros.); the Hotel Fresno; the Clark-Dollar Stores Building (Peugh & O’Brien); the Pacific States Saving & Loan Co. Building (O’Brien Bros.); the Southern Pacific Company’s Station (Bliss & Faville); the Pacific States Bank Building; the proposed Greyhound Hotel; and a residence (Havens & Topeke).
Renderings without Connor’s signature include the New Masonic Club (attributed to August C. Headman); the New Home of Title Insurance & Guaranty Co. (O’Brien Bros. & Peugh); the Sheidman Estate Building (Sutter & Stockton); the Women’s Club; Automobile Row; the Pacific Office Building (Meyer & O’Brien); a tentative design for a bank building (Smith O’Brien); the Bakersfield Community Hospital (H. L. Stevens & Co.); the Pickwick Hotel & Terminal (Peugh & O’Brien); and residences (W. L. Schmolle). Also present are renderings for Hotel Bonneville in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Hotel Nevada in Ely, Nevada (H. L. Stevens & Co.).
Included is an unidentified tracing in an unidentified hand bounded by V. H. Ave., Grove St., Mc A. St., and Hyde St., showing federal buildings.
