Description: Diary of Laure Montz later LaBarbera from New Orleans kept from 1941 to 1945 with daily entrees discussing missing her fiancee Vincent LaBarbara (also from New Orleans) who was in the Army with the 35th T.C. [Transportation Corps] Composite Group in the Pacific. She discusses blackouts, food shortages, German submarines in the Gulf of Mexico and daily news of the war and her family.
