Summary
Collection of correspondence and other papers relating to American poets H.D., Jane Cooper, and James Laughlin. The collection consists of the following: two letters, typescript, signed, to Morris from Cooper, as well as copies of poems by Cooper, including drafts, typescript photocopy, of "A Mission with the night" and "Scaffolding"; a draft, typescript, corrected, of British-born author Silvia Dobson's manuscript "Mirror for a star, star for a mirror," addressing her relationship with H.D. and H.D's correspondence to her from 1934 to 1961; 22 pieces of correspondence to Morris from Laughlin, of New Directions Publishing, discussing literary matters, with accompanying writings; and two drafts of "H.D.: A Chronological account" by Louis H. Silverstein.
