Le Crocrodrome de Zig et Puce was a large kinetic sculpture and installation in the form of a crocodile, built by the sculptor Jean Tinguely in the Musée national d'art moderne, Paris, France, 1977. Tinguely was commissioned to create the Crocrodrome by the museum's director, Pontus Hultén, for the newly built museum's opening in June. Zig et Puce was the pseudonym adopted by the group who executed and built the Crocrodrome; the team was led by Jean Tinguely and included: Marc Audouin, Seppi Imhoff, Bernhard Luginbühl, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Daniel Spoerri, Rico Weber, and Paul Wiedmer. The Crocrodrome was open to the public from June 1, 1977-January 2, 1978; visitors could observe the work from walkways set around it, or travel through the sculpture itself in small open cars on a looping track.
