The work is a paraphrase of "the Latin notes of that celebrated naturalist [Dr. Pallas] by an engenious [sic] and obliging correspondent in Russia ... [James Anderson] under the inspection of Dr. Pallas for the purpose of being inserted in the Bee, a literary journal published at Edinburgh, in which it was originally published .--Advertisement.
