Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm, wa-bi-hi nastaʻīn. al-Ḥamdu lillāh alladhī anār al-wujūd bi-mawlid khayr al-anām, wa-abraza shams wujūdihi fī Rabīʻ al-Awwal, saʻd al-suʻūd, fa-nukkisat lidhālik al-aṣnām, wa-khalaqa nūrahu qabla ījād al-khalq, fa-kāna dhālika al-nūr yadūru bi-al-qudrah ḥaythu shāʼa al-Malik al-ʻAllām ..."
البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، وبه نستعين. الحمد لله الذي أنار الوجود بمولد خير الأنام، وأبرز شمس وجوده في ربيع الأول، سعد السعود، فنكست لذلك الأصنام، وخلق نوره قبل إيجاد الخلق، فكان ذلك النور يدور بالقدرة حيث شاء الملك العلّام ..."

On folio 1a: "Hādhā Mawlid al-Nabī, ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam, lil-Imām al-ʻālim al-ʻallāmah, al-Shaykh al-Munayyirī, nafaʻanā Allāh bi-hi. Tamm."
على وجه الورقة 1: "هذا مولد النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم، للإمام العالم العلامة، الشيخ المنيّري، نفعنا الله به. تم."
Colophon: No colophon. Text ends abruptly, as follows: "... wa-kāna Hāshim jadd al-Nabī, ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam, lā yamurru bi-ḥajar wa-lā madar wa-lā shajar, illā wa-yukhāṭibuhu wa-yaqūlu la-hu: Abshir Yā Hāshim, fa-innahu sa-yaẓharu min ẓahrika nabīyun yakūnu khātim al-nabīyīn wa-al-mursalīn. Qāl: fa-lammā ..."
الخاتمة: لا يوجد خاتمة. ينتهي النص فجأةً، كما يلي: "... وكان هاشم جدّ النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم، لا يمرّ بحجر ولا مدر ولا شجر، إلّا ويخاطبه ويقول له: أبشر يا هاشم، فإنّه سيظهر من ظهرك نبي يكون خاتم النبيين والمرسلين. قال: فلما ..."

Summary
"Mawlid al-Nabī", by Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan al-Munayyir al-Samannūdī, (1687 or 1688-1784 or 1785), a Shāfiʻī Islamic law scholar, who was the first to transfer the position of "Mashyakhat al-Azʹhar" from the Malikites to the Shafiʻites, born in Samannūd (Egypt), studied at al-Azʹhar, assumed the position of "Shaykh al-Azʹhar" and died in Cairo (See: Ziriklī 6:92), a treatise on the birth of the Prophet Muḥammad. The work is also called "al-Durr al-thamīn fī Mawlid Sayyid al-awwalīn wa-al-ākhirīn" (See: Brockelmann: S 2:479). The present manuscript is incomplete and ends abruptly. Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
