Summary
Collection of 22 autograph letters, 12 typed letters, and eight autograph postcards, signed, from Henry Miller while on a year-long trip across the United States and in Paris, France. Letters are written to American bookseller Barnet Ruder and discuss his travels around the United States; books and authors; the censorship of Tropic of Cancer; and the publishing of Black Spring. Accompanied by a publisher's order form for Aller retour New York; a printed advertisement for Tropic of Cancer from Obelisk Press; and 17 photographs of Miller with unidentified men and women.
