Ella Winter (1898-1980) was an Australian-born writer, lecturer, and political activist.
William Jovanovich (1920-2001) was an American publisher and author. He served as director of publishing at Harcourt, Brace & World from 1954-1991.

Typed and manuscript correspondence between Ella Winter and William Jovanovich regarding editing and publishing her autobiography at Harcourt, Brace & World. Jovanovich's letters suggest Winter make cuts to her manuscript, and Winter responds with a typed list titled "Bill's suggestion for omits that I don't agree with".
