Summary
The rising star of French cello Edgar Moreau plays in duet with Julien Quentin in a romantic music program, followed by the Sonata for cello and piano by Francis Poulenc. A true revelation on the classical music scene, Edgar Moreau is one of the most promising cellists of the young generation. A laureate of many prizes at international competitions (including the prize for the best performance of a contemporary work at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition), he was awarded the prize for the "Instrumental Solo Revelation of the Year" at the prestigious French Victoires de la musique classique, where he was also awarded, in 2015, the prize for the "Instrumental Soloist of the Year." Julien Quentin is a well-known pianist who is frequently invited by the best music festivals and concert halls. He has a predilection for chamber music and is a regular guest at the Verbier Festival. © Photo: Aline Paley.
