Summary
Set in the winter of 1942, in Belarus. Deals with the realities of waging a relentless partisan action behind the enemy lines. Lazarev is a former Red Army sergeant who becomes a collaborator with the Nazis, then switches back to fighting the Germans. This film was banned in the U.S.S.R. until 1985.
