Biographical / Historical Note
Holy Childhood Indian School was a boarding school for Native American children in Harbor Springs, Michigan operated by the Catholic Church with funding from the United States Department of the Interior. The school was established in 1889 and remained in operation until 1983. It was known by several names during its existence, including Holy Childhood Indian Boarding School, Holy Childhood Indian Industrial School, and Holy Childhood of Jesus School.
