Modern notes in pencil on both front and back pastedowns. Small printed dealer description laid to front pastedown. Small printed dealer description pasted on blank sheet of paper and laid in, along with handwritten notes on Hildegard of Bingen.

Layout: single columns in outlined text block; 30-39 lines.
Script: informal german bookhand with secretary features.
Decoration: rubricated. Numerous initials in red.
Binding: early eighteenth-century? quarter calf over marbled boards. Six-compartmented spine. Spine tags in gilt: "MS" and "circa 13" (lower tag damaged).
