Summary
Four typescript letters, signed, addressed to Daniel S. Schechter discussing Rebecca West’s coverage of the Nuremberg trials. Includes a letter from West herself, in which she describes being invited to the trials by Baron Hartley Shawcross; traveling in post-war Europe; covering the trials for the New Yorker and the Daily Telegraph; and visiting the air raid shelter where Adolph Hitler died. Also includes letters from Joseph Laitin, Andy Logan, and Louis Golding describing West’s composure during the trials and the interactions they had with her.
