Richard Jones, Earl of Ranelagh (1638?-1712) was an Irish politician in the Parliaments of England and Ireland. He served as Paymaster of the Forces from 1685 till 1702.
Summary
Printed order to pay, completed in manuscript and signed by Richard Jones, Earl of Ranelagh, issued by Great Britain in order to finance their war with France. The order authorizes the recipient to pay 100 pounds for imported goods, such as wine, tobacco, and vinegar. Document is signed William Henry van Nassau van Zuylesteyn, Earl of Rochford on verso.
