Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. al-Ḥamdu lillāh al-Malik al-Mutaʻāl ʻan idrāk al-ʻuqūl bi-ḥayth [bi-ḥasb] al-ʻirfān, al-wājib al-wujūd bilā kayf wa-shakāl (?), ay lā jawhar wa-lā ʻaraḍ, maḥabbat al-jismān, al-aḥad al-ṣamad, lā zād wa-lā nawāl, bal huwa rāziq al-ʻibād min al-ins wa-al-jān wa-sāyir al-ḥayawān, al-ḥayy al-qayyūm, ʻalá ḥāl bilā aḥwāl, mā dāmat al-samāwāt wa-al-araḍīn bi-adwār al-dawarān wa-al-zamān, al-dāyim al-bāqī fī mulkihi, abadī bilā intiqāl wa-irtiḥāl, thābit muthbat bi-al-thubūt wa-al-tibyān, al-qāyim fī salṭanatihi bilā iʻtizāl wa-inzāl, innahu sulṭān al-salāṭīn fī al-sirr wa-al-iʻlān ..."

البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله الملك المتعال عن إدراك العقول بحيث [بحسب] العرفان، الواجب الوجود بلا كيف وشكال (؟)، أي لا جوهر ولا عرض، محبت الجسمان، الأحد الصمد، لا زاد ولا نوال، بل هو رازق العباد من الإنس والجان وساير الحيوان، الحيّ القيّوم، على حال بلا أحوال، ما دامت السموات والأرضين بأدوار الدوران والزمان، الدايم الباقي في ملكه، أبدي بلا انتقال وارتحال، ثابت مثبت بالثبوت والتبيان، القايم في سلطنته بلا اعتزال وإنزال، إنّه سلطان السلاطين في السرّ والإعلان ..."

On the label pasted to the front cover (in pencil): "Khuṭbat al-bayān. Khuṭbat al-bayān".

At the head of folio 1a: "Hādhā Kitāb Khuṭbat al-bayān. Imām ʻAlī Raḍiya Allāh ʻanhu, karrama Allāh wajhahu."

On folio 103b: A statement in Ottoman Turkish.

على الورقة 103ب: مدوّنة بالعثمانية التركية، تبدأ بـِ: "حقّ آنى سلطآن ايلدى دورت كتاببك شرحك عيآن ايلدى وحين جبرائيل على سويلدى پوچرقى منايى فوران عليدرسرى بونى جانى ديلدن سويلدى ولايت شاحينه اقرار ايلدى علينك ان ادنا سرّيك سويلدى جمله نك معبودى اولان عليدور. يا علي امداد. خادم الفقراء السيد الحاج محمد سرّى ديمنودردى. هـ. في 15 ر سنة 1252."

On folio 103b: An ownership statement: "Ṣāḥib al-khayrāt al-Sayyid al-Ḥājjī Ḥusayn Rūfāʻ" and a stamp "al-Sayyid al-Ḥājj Ḥusayn al-Rifāʻī".

على الورقة 103ب: مدوّنة تملّك: "صاحب الخيرات السيد الحاجّي حسين روفاع." و ختم باسم "السيد الحاجّ حسين رفاعي".

Colophon: "Tamma Khuṭbat al-bayān bi-ʻawn Allāh al-Malik al-Mannān, wa-bi-ḥamdihi, [...] wa-ālihi wa-aṣḥābihi ajmaʻīn. Bi-raḥmatika Yā Arḥam al-Rāḥimīn. tamma bi-al-khayr. M. M. M."

الخاتمة: "تمّ خطبة البيان بعون الله الملك المنّان، وبحمده، [...] وآله وأصحابه أجمعين. برحمتك يا أرحم الراحمين. تم بالخير. م. م. م."

Translation of the colphon: "Khuṭbat al-bayān was completed by the help of the God the Munificent King and His praise, [...] and his family and all his companions. By Your mercy, O You who is the Most Merciful of all merciful. It was well completed. M. M. M."
