Shows completed and in-progress railroads in New Zealand.
Exists in at least two editions. This edition shows railroads on the map of New Zealand and includes a railroad legend under the title and bar scales. Additionally, the inset map of the country round Dunedin includes the note "Heights in feet" between the title and bar scale. The other edition lacks railroads and the legend for them, and the text between the title and bar scale of the inset map of the country round Dunedin instead says, "From Thomsons map."
George Philip & Son began advertising this map in 1888.
