Biographical / Historical Note
Powell Lindsay (1905-1987) was a Black American actor and director.
The Negro Little Theatre was a "democratically organized theatre group which has as its chief aim the building of a permanent amateur acting company for the Negro community" of Norwalk, Connecticut. It was part of the Norwalk W. P. A. Education-Recreation program.
