"An Americanized version of Ann Taylor's poem, "A true story," first published in Original poems for infant minds in 1804. See Stewart, C.D. Taylors of Ongar, A1a. Cover title. Series statement at head of title. Caption title: Ann and her mamma. "New picture books for little children. Aunt Louisa! Big picture series--31 kinds."--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of wrapper. This advertisement appeared in two other works from the series Uncle Ned's picture books, one bearing an inscription dated 1873 and the other 1874. Cf. the New-York Historical Society records in RLIN. Wrapper printed in colored ink. Plates chromolithographed."
