Summary
"Cover title. "152"--inventory number, front cover. This title might have been part of the Friendly animals series; the McLoughlin Bros. publisher's catalog for 1910 lists the country visit as being part of the series, but the inventory number given for the series is 26. Back cover of this edition has a chromolithograph of a girl feeding chickens out of a pan; this same image appears on the cover of the McLoughlin picture book Das A.B.C. in Bildern (copyright 1905). "Books and games, educate--amuse, McLoughlin est. 1828"--device of McLoughin Bros., front cover, motto appears in a framed circle featuring image of two owls, one reading, one playing checkers. Cover included in pagination. Cover and full page illustrations chromolithographed."
