Summary
"Letters of David Livingstone to John Murray III, with a letter to Robert Cooke, written at the time of his expedition to the Zambezi, and during his return to Britain from Africa between 1864 and 1865. Most of the letters concern the preparation for publication of Livingstone's "Narrative of an Expedition to the Zambesi and its Tributaries". Also included: a letter of Reginald Poole to John Murray III [?] concerning a quotation in Livingstone's work; letters of Robert Cooke to John Murray III concerning the return of Henry Stanley to Europe after he had "found" Livingstone at Ujiji; and, a letter to Robert Cooke reporting the death of Livingstone."
