"Do you remember the final scene from Kill Bill? Quentin Tarantino shot it in Costa Careyes, Mexico, a mystical place which is also very popular with the jet set: Giorgio Armani, Cindy Crawford and Paris Hilton have the habit of spending time there, just like Berlusconi and Clinton.To the south of this little paradise sits the Copa del Sol, built in 2006 by the entrepreneur Gianfranco Brignone, founder of this luxurious resort. A giant cement half-sphere measuring 33 feet high and almost 90 feet wide, the Copa del Sol symbolizes women and lets sunlight in through small diamond-shaped openings. In a cave, a little further, rises the figure of man, a pyramidion located in a cave. At each solstice, a jet of light diffused by the Copa del Sol enters the cavity to caress the top of the pyramid. The Cercle team, never left behind when it comes to finding improbable new places to organize concerts, invited the Austrian duo HVOB to perform in this large bowl which looks like a contemporary Mayan construction. HVOB's music, the ultimate example being "Her Voice Over Boys," blends perfectly with this cosmic installation, sublimated by the voice of the singer Anna Müller who founded the group in 2012 with Paul Wallner. Accompanied here by a drummer, the duo play many songs from their latest album Rocco (2019), which fall between house, techno, and soaring electronic atmospheres. An ideal soundtrack for a sunset on this jewel of the Mexican Pacific coast. Etienne Geremia".
