Summary
"Inside the historic walls of Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum, electronic music pioneers Underworld orchestrate a spiritual trip through trance, techno, drum & bass and so much more. The wild strobe lights and choice video editing of this recording from a 2017 Audio Obscura performance taps into the raucous energy of the British duo. From Karl Hyde's part sung, part spoken word vocals to the redemptive glory of Rick Smith's organ-like synths, the experience is truly transportive. The kick drum remains relentless throughout the performance as they build up to the ultimate climax with their 1995 anthem, ""Born Slippy.""The electronic music group formed in 1980 in Wales. For the first decade of their career, they focused more on electro-pop and new wave before fully devoting themselves to dance music in the early '90s. Over the years they have pulled from a variety of influences including house, dub and the blues to make them one of the genre's most unique and influential artists. Jessica Kariisa".
