"The Cosmo Jazz Festival takes place in a magnificent setting: at the foot of Mont Blanc. Piers Faccini, wandering between the rocks and the clusters of spectators lying in the grass, performs there alone, armed with a guitar, a harmonica, and a tambourine. The performance is very successful, but when we think about it, it must not have been as easy as it seems. Even the few helicopters that roar in the blue sky don't seem to disturb him. He exudes a luminous folk blues, a calm breath where we might have seen African griots and cellist Vincent Segal join in to share this wisdom.
