Ḥamdan li-man sarraḥa ʻuyūn al-baṣāʼir fī riyāḍ al-niʻam, riyāḍin zahat fīhā riyāḍ al-ʻuqūl, wa-tafattaḥat bi-nasīm al-luṭf anwār al-ḥikam, fa-ijtanat minhā aydī al-muná fawākih al-arwāḥ, wa-iqtaṭafat shaqīq al-shafīq min bayn aqāḥ al-ṣabāḥ, wa-al-nadā ṭarrā bard al-nasīm bi-balālihi lammā raʼá majāmir al-zahr taḥta adhyālih ..."
البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. حمدًا لمن سرّح عيون البصائر في رياض النعم، رياض زهت فيها رياض العقول، وتفتّحت بنسيم اللطف أنوار الحكم، فاجتنت منها أيدي المنى فواكه الأرواح، واقتطفت شقيق الشفيق من بين أقاح الصباح، والندا طرّا برد النسيم ببلاله لما رأى مجامر الزهر تحت أذياله ..."

On folio 1a: A reader's statement: "al-Ḥamdu li-Walīyih. Ṭālaʻahu faqīr Rabbihi taʻālá, Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Kanjī, ʻufiya ʻanhumā." Under it an illegible stamp.
على وجه الورقة 1: مدوّنة لقارئ: "الحمد لوليّه. طالعه فقير ربّه تعالى، محمد بن أحمد الكنجي، عفي عنهما." تحنها ختم غير مقروء.
At the head of folio 1b: A decorative design in blue, red, and gold.
Colophon: No colophon. Text ends abruptly with the following two verses: "... Yaṭīru fuʼādī li-alḥāẓihi // gharāman wa-shawqan wa-fīhā al-talaf. Fa-yā man yará qablahā ashuman // yaṭīru ishtiyāqan ilayhā al-hadaf. Wa-naḥwuhu ..."
الخاتمة: لا يوجد خاتمة. ينتهي النص فجأةً بالبيتين التاليين: "... يطير فؤادي لألحاظه // غرامًا وشوقًا وفيها التلف. فيا من يرى قبلها أسهمًا // يطير اشتياقًا إليها الهدف. ونحوه ..."

Summary
"Rayḥānat al-alibbā wa-zahrat al-ḥayāh al-dunyā", a literary anthology of contemporary authors, by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Khafājī (1571 or 1572-1659), an Egyptian prolific author and "Qāḍī al-Quḍāh" (Chief Judge) for the Ottoman court, in Salānīk (Thessalonikē, Greece) and Egypt (See: Ziriklī 1:238). The present manuscript is incomplete and ends abruptly. Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
