Summary
"Danny Daze's decades worth of experience as a DJ is most apparent via his fluency on the mixer. Playing with the filters, EQ and effects he takes the crowd on a frenzied ride through glitchy electro, hard techno and acid breaks. This two hour set at the 2019 Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon maintains a fairly cerebral quality - harkening back to Daze's IDM influences - but not so much to inhibit movement. At the end of the day, Daze's main goal is to make us dance. The Cuban-American DJ and producer, born Daniel Gomez, was raised in Miami and grew up on a musical diet of salsa, freestyle and Miami Bass. An early interest in breakdancing led to a deeper fascination with the music behind it and with the help of his mother, he soon started practicing on his own turntables. After a few years DJing weddings, Gomez broke into the electronic circuit, championing the electro and bass he was raised on alongside the hard techno he grew to love. **Jessica Kariisa**".
