Summary
A devout imam starts to question both his faith and his own values upon hearing the news of Michael Jackson's death. Having discovered the King of Pop at a young age, Ahmad's teenage years were heavily influenced by Jackson's music and fashion - much to the chagrin of his conservative father. Now deeply religious, the sheikh discovers that he cannot easily escape the former, more carefree spirit of his youth. Nominated for a People's Choice Award at the **Toronto International Film Festival**. Nominated in the Music Movies Competition at the **Cleveland International Film Festival**. *"[Director] Salama ... uses playful juxtapositions and time-jumping plotlines to make serious points about compassion, generational friction and family dysfunction." - Stephen Dalton, **Hollywood Reporter***
