Description: Austrian Jewish migrant H. Peter Oberlander arrived from Austria via the United Kingdom in 1940. He relates his ordeal of forced migration from Great Britain to Canada and the journey conditions alongside German prisoners of war. He explains how they were arrested without warning, taken to Glasgow and shipped across to Canada under miserable conditions.
