Summary
In this journal little is written of her time in Italian cities, instead she seems to spend more time in France and in mountainous regions. She visits various churches, palaces and convents but few famous landmarks or tourist attractions. Some nice everyday details occur in the journal including particular food she consumed or specific roads she came across or travelled. Interleaved with the original and at the end, reversing the volume, are notes by her brother, William Poyntz, of a similar journey; 1767.
