Summary
Description: A memoir detailing encounters by Jean Baptiste Tavernier during his 'six voyages'. As well as a general narrative of his travels, the author reflects upon the commercial state of the places visited within Turkey, Persia and India. The author describes Persian coffee houses, culitvation of tobacco in India, and smoking in Persia and India.
