Summary
The day surveys are daily diaries sent to Mass Observation, recording the ways in which particular days of the year were spent by up to 500 people. The surveys were taken on the 12th of each month, including George VI's coronation on 12th May 1937. The day surveys were kept by members of Mass Observation's National Panel of volunteers.
