Summary

Description: Report on European political cooperation: Consultation with the US. Euro/Arab Dialogue: Belgian experts for the working commissions. Organisation of the practical work of the dialogue: British views. The subject matter of the dialogue to create a better framework for Euro/Arab cooperation to be broken down into five categories and that a working commission should be created for each. The categories are Agriculture; Industrialisation; infrastructure; financial co-operation; cultural and technical co-operation. Included are ideas on content for the Euro/Arab dialogue. Record of second meeting of the steering group on the Euro/Arab Dialogue which summed up the three areas identified were training facilities for the Arabs; triangular development projects; and investment in European energy projects.
