Summary
Description: Reports of the November 1974 elections in Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Summary of the US mid-term elections in which the Democrats made substantial gains in the new House of Representatives and now have a two-thirds majority making them technically be veto-proof. The Democrats made gains in all areas of the country and the causes of their victory were Watergate and the economy. President Ford may have been able to rescue the Republican Party but his pardon of Nixon destroyed that opportunity.
