Summary
Along the banks of the Magdalena River, four men live in isolation and despair. They have no dreams, no goals, no purpose. They have surrendered to their bleak destiny, without any hope of redemption or salvation. Their only escape is to forget themselves in the haze of oblivion, the numbness of resignation, and the flames of alcohol.
