Ch'aebi: In a house in a hill village near Kŏjin Port overlooking the horizon, a father with rough skin and a bushy beard as if representing the passage of time is looking at dried fish. Along with dementia, depression also came. Under the pretext of dried fish, he calls his son and his wife who live in Seoul because he misses them, but due to his son's unpredictable response, he hangs up. That way, the father puts on his clothes and leaves the house. The father prepares for the end of his life by visiting a hospital, a pharmacy, a bathhouse, a barbershop, and a photo studio.
Suhwa t'ongyŏksa: Toyŏng is a sign language interpreter. He is busy with the ongoing news about COVID-19 infections, but he rushs to the hospital to provide interpretation for his deaf wife who is about to give birth.
