Summary
First edition. Smith, a former United States Representative from New York, writes: The sin of extending the area of slavery, and of encouraging the slaveholders to multiply their investments in human flesh, lies at the door of the North as well as at the door of the South. Northern commerce has connived at, and openly upheld, Slavery. Location of printing is not cited.
