Summary
References Knox's letters of 4 and 11 January. Says Knox's son will not be seeing a dancing master as those instructions arrived too late. If he must go to Philadelphia, he will, but I am closing the settlement of my Fathers Estate which cannot be conveniently left in its present situation. Goes on to say If from any cause you do not resign your Public Situation, or cannot attend yourself to the patent - only interest me one sixth or an eight in your late purchase and allow me what you may think reasonable p[er] annum, and I will undertake the whole management of the business, and will myself go down on the spot the next season and devote my whole time to it, and if necessary will remain there the next ten years of my life. Would like to have an active life.
