Summary
References Knox's letters of 22, 24, and 27 August. Those letters gave instructions for his house and had [Dollar sign]500 enclosed. Says Altho' I have written you and I still think it will be madness in the extreme besides a great distruction [sic] of property - yet to convince you that I have not lost a moment in forwarding your views, I herewith inclose you a Copy of my Letter to Capt. Vose - (not included). Reports that Peirce has paid the �73 to the Treasurer. Wants Knox to be easy about the tax issues, claiming he will not let any land in the patent be sold to pay the taxes. To help him, wants Knox to forward a memorial to be presented in the legislature's next session.
