Summary
Requests that Knox choose Mr. Samuel Andrews to be appointed an Ensign to the vacancy of Mr. Joseph Peirce. Nominates Mr. Samuel Hall of Boston as an Ensign. Nathanial Balch, Jackson writes, will send a letter to Knox on his son's behalf as well. Notes at the end that he will write more later concerning the 2nd Regiment.
