Pt. 2 is either derived from Paracelsus (cf. Kocher) or is adapted and translated from P. Hermanni. Een constich distillierboeck (cf. Sudhoff).
Earlier London editions (1575, 1580, 1596) were published, with John Hester as the author, under title: The key of philosophie. Another edition was published in 1633, also in London, attributed to Paracelsus, under the title: The secrets of physick and philosophy.
