Cumulates part of a succession of publications begun ca. 1934 as Lists by the American Council of Learned Societies Devoted to Humanistic Studies' Committee on Far Eastern Studies, continued 1936-40 as the council's Bulletin of Far Eastern bibliography, and from 1941 issued in the Journal of Asian studies (until 1956 Far Eastern quarterly) under titles: Far Eastern bibliography (until 1956), and Bibliography of Asian studies (after 1956).
