Previous bibliographies (1884-1901) appeared in the Naturalist, a monthly journal of natural history for the north of England, 1885-1903; the bibliography here catalogued (1902-08) was issued in the Transactions of the Yorkshire naturalists' union, pt. 34, and has been detached and bound separately; subsequent bibliographies (1909- ) are to be found in the Naturalist, 1911- and contain "papers and records relating to ... the north of England (Yorkshire excepted)" that region being covered by the Bibliography of Yorkshire geology, by T. Sheppard [1534-1914] published 1915, forming v. 18 of the Proceedings of the Yorkshire geological society (continued in later Proceedings of the same society)
