Summary
In a letter to his brother John, George Vancouver describes his exploration of the Northwest Coast and the future negotiations with the Spaniards on the area (WA MSS 491). Vancouver's letter to the engraver James Heath concerns the illustration of Vancouver's published account and an 1800 letter by John Vancouver to the publishers also concerns the work (WA MSS 492). "An Account of the Expence of Gunners Stores" is a tabular record of gunner's stores written by Vancouver (WA MSS 493).
