"Volumes I-XXVII were printed at the De Vinne Press, and Volumes XXVIII-XXXVI at the Scribner Press. Two hundred and four sets were printed on Japan vellum, with Kipling's signature on his photograph in the first volume, bound in yellow raw silk (but lacking the front cover elephant-head ivory medallion), bearing green half levant morocco spines lettered in gold ... A page of Kipling's introductory letter “To the Nakhoda or skipper of This Venture” appears in facsimile in the first volume of this deluxe version."--Cf. Richards.
