The agreement made by Alanson Judson, John McNale, Samuel S. Mills, James H. Burr, and Henry Churchill, directors of the Gloversville Mining Company, with William Case, Simon P. Carmichael, James Haggart, John D. Haggart, Norman Comrie, Abram Wiley, and Isaac McCall, stipulates that the directors will finance a trip to the California gold fields. The men, in return for their travel and equipment costs, will provide labor for the company. All of the participants were from Gloversville, New York.
