Issued in two parts, each with separate letterpress title page, register, and pagination. The "first book" describes the "Northern navigation"; the "second book" describes the "southern navigation".
Title and imprint from engraved title page at the beginning of volume 1.
"Also an appendix ... by Capt. Gilb. Crane and Capt. Tho. Brown ... The sea-coasts surveyed, by Jonas Moor ... "--Foot of title page to the first book.
Volume 1 has imprint: "London, printed by John Darby, and are to be sold by the author ... and by John Wingfield, stationer ..., MDCLXXI." Volume 2 has imprint: "London, printed by John Darby for the author, and are to be sold as his shop ... 1672."
According the preface, Seller had planned the work in 4 books. The Brit. Mus. Cat. v. 218, 698 lists a copy with the 3d book of which 24 p. were published.
