Title from caption.
The title-page of the collected edition as vol. ninth and last served to connect it with the collected edition of The Spectator published by Addison and Steele, of which v. 1-7 had appeared in 1712-1713 and v. 8 in 1715. In later editions, e.g., "the sixth," 1726, Tonson and Watts, Bond's Spectator is numbered 636-695, in continuation of the numbering of the original Spectator, rather than no. 1-61 as originally issued.
Edited by William Bond.
First reprinted in 1715 by J. Roberts and "volume ninth and last" of a collected edition of The Spectator published by Addison and Steele.
In later reprints it was numbered 636-695 in continuation of the numbering of the original Spectator rather than no. 1-61 as originally issued.
