The title has been altered by a forger on leaf 3 recto to: Kharīdah al-qaṣr wa-jarīdah ahl al-ʻaṣr [lil-Kātib al-Iṣfahānī] and the same incorrect title has been written by him on leaf 1 recto and at the foot of the colophon.
Neither Scheidius nor Silvestre de Sacy discovered the forgery.
