The title has been altered by a forger on leaf 3 recto to: Kharīdah al-qaṣr wa-jarīdah ahl al-ʻaṣr [lil-Kātib al-Iṣfahānī] and the same incorrect title has been written by him on leaf 1 recto and at the foot of the colophon.

Neither Scheidius nor Silvestre de Sacy discovered the forgery.

Incorrectly entered in L. Nemoy's printed catalog (no. 394) under the forged title.

Compared with Landberg MSS 132 (Catalogue, no. 477).

Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm ... Allāhumma yā mujrī rukhāʼ ṭibāʻ al-insān mustannatan fī ṭarāʼiq al-bayān ..."

البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ... اللهم يا مجري رخاء طباع الإنسان مستنةً في طرائق البيان ..."

Fair naskhī, in red and black.

ʻUnwān in gold and colors on leaf 1 verso.

Islamic binding, in brown.

On leaf preceding leaf 1: "Ex Oriente accepit E. Scheidius 1767."

Colophon: "ʻAmmat al-Sāniḥāt [altered to: al-Sāmiḥāt] bi-ʻawn Bāsiṭ al-araḍīn wa-Rāfiʻ al-samāwāt, nahār al-Aḥad, tāsiʻ ʻashar Rabīʻ al-Thānī, sanat tisʻ wa-khamsīn wa-alf, wa-qad raqama ṭirsahā li-nafsihi ... ʻAbd al-Ḥaqq ibn Muḥammad al-Mirzānātī ḥasaban al-Adhamī nasaban ..."

الخاتمة: "عمّت السانحات [غيّرت إلى: السامحات] بعون باسط الأرضين ورافع السموات، نهار الأحد، تاسع عشر ربيع الثاني، سنة تسع وخمسين وألف، وقد رقم طرسها لنفسه ... عبد الحقّ بن محمد المرزاناتي حسبًا الأدهمي نسبًا ..."

Translation of the colophon: "al-Sāniḥāt [altered to al-Sāmiḥāt] have spread by the help of the Stretcher of the lands and the Uplifter of the heavens, on Sunday, 19 Rabīʻ al-Thānī, of the year 1059 [of the Hijrah = 2 May 1649]. The codex was written ... by ʻAbd al-Ḥaqq ibn Muḥammad al-Mirzānātī ḥasaban al-Adhamī nasaban ... for himself ..."
