Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. Fa-qad warada annahu kāna hādhā maktūban fī al-lawḥ al-maḥfūẓ ..."
البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. فقد ورد أنّه كان هذا مكتوبًا في اللوح المحفوظ ..."
Modern naskhī.
Colophon: "Qad nuqila dhālika min majmūʻah munshaʼat Farīdūn Bik al-maṭbūʻ fī awāʼil shahr Jumādá al-Ākhirah, sanat arbaʻ wa-sittīn wa-miʼatayn wa-alf ... 1264."
الخاتمة: "قد نقل ذلك من مجموعة منشأة فريدون بك المطبوع في أوائل شهر جمادى الآخرة، سنة أربع وستين ومائتين وألف ... 1264."
Translation of the colophon: "This was transcribed from the collection of the foundation of Farīdūn Bik which was printed in the beginning of Jumādá al-Ākhirah, of the year 1264 [of the Hijrah = 5 May 1848]."

Summary
Apocryphal letters of the Prophet.
Inserted is an ALS (2 leaves) by Dr. Henry A. DeForest, Rochester, N.Y., December 11, [18]57, to Edward E. Salisbury, stating that the manuscript was copied at Baghdad for Dr. Lobdell, from a copy of a private edition struck off at Istanbul in A.H. 1264 (A.D. 1848).
